Terms of Use and End User Licence Agreement
Effective: 21 September 2026 · Last updated: 21 September 2026
The English version of this document governs. Any Bahasa Melayu translation is provided for convenience; if there is any inconsistency between the two, the English version prevails.
1. Acceptance and Eligibility
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Aid Ignite Sdn. Bhd., company registration no. 202501021377 (1622790-T), a private limited company incorporated in Malaysia with its principal place of business at Domain 3, D-11-03, The Domain, Lingkaran Cyber Point Barat, Cyber 12, 63000 Cyberjaya, Selangor, Malaysia (“AidIgnite”, “we”, “us”). LullaBook is a product of Aid Ignite Sdn. Bhd. By downloading, accessing, or using the LullaBook app or lullabook.io, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
- You must be 18 years of age or older to create and hold a LullaBook account.
- The account holder is a parent or guardian, and is responsible for all use of the app by any child in their care — including supervising the child's use, managing settings, and approving purchases.
The English version of these Terms governs. Any Bahasa Melayu or other translation is provided for convenience; if there is any inconsistency, the English version prevails.
2. Licence Grant
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use LullaBook on devices you own or control, for your family's personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the applicable app-store rules.
3. Acceptable Use and Account Security
You agree not to misuse the app. In particular, you must not: reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app; resell or share account access; upload or attempt to generate unlawful, hateful, or inappropriate content; interfere with the service or its security; or attempt to manipulate Story Sparks, wallet balances, promo codes, or the affiliate programme. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
4. Subscriptions, Free Trial, and Story Sparks
Pricing. All prices are shown in the app before you purchase.
New accounts. Creating a LullaBook account is free. A new account starts as a free account and does not include Story Sparks. Free accounts can read stories in the public library; creating and generating stories requires Story Sparks or a subscription.
Free trial. A 7-day free trial is available through the app store (Google Play or the Apple App Store) when you start a subscription. Starting the trial requires a payment method held by the app store. The trial includes 20 Story Sparks and full Premium access for its duration. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the trial converts automatically to a paid subscription and the applicable subscription fee is charged to your app-store account. You can cancel at any time during the trial in your Google Play or Apple App Store subscription settings.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. Premium subscribers receive 20 Story Sparks each month. We will tell you inside the app before the trial ends and before a renewal, as required by the app stores.
Story Sparks. Story Sparks are LullaBook's in-app credits: 2 Sparks to create a story; 1 Spark to regenerate a story; 2 Sparks for a new narration voice; 10 Sparks to clone a voice. Purchased Sparks do not expire for as long as your account remains open. Sparks have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are not redeemable for money. Any Sparks remaining in your account are forfeited when your account is closed, whether you close it or we do.
Cancellation. Manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Google Play or Apple App Store subscription settings. Deleting the app, or deleting your LullaBook account, does not cancel a subscription — you must cancel it in the app store.
Refunds. Refunds for purchases made through the app stores are handled under the applicable store's policies (Apple App Store or Google Play). Nothing in this Section affects any refund or remedy you are entitled to under Malaysia's Consumer Protection Act 1999 or the consumer law of the country you live in.
Promo and affiliate codes. Promo and affiliate codes may be offered from time to time and are subject to their own stated conditions; they may be modified or withdrawn at any time.
5. AI-Generated Content — Nature and Limitations
LullaBook uses artificial intelligence to generate story text, illustrations, and voice narration. AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or imperfections, and we do not guarantee that it is accurate, complete, or free of mistakes. Stories are provided for family entertainment and moral education.
We tell you what is AI-generated. Content generated by AI is labelled as such in the app, and narration produced with a cloned voice is marked as a cloned voice.
Religious content. LullaBook's stories are simplified narratives built around moral values or inspired by authentic hadith sources, including the 42 Journey series. They are not religious rulings (fatwa) and are not a substitute for formal scholarly religious guidance. Hadith-based content is reviewed — by a qualified scholar in the app's early stage, and thereafter by a reviewer with a religious background as the app and its models mature. We warmly encourage parents to consult qualified scholars for religious questions.
Reporting content. If you believe a story contains a factual or religious error, you can report it from inside the app, or email support@aidignite.io. We review every report and will correct, unpublish, or regenerate content where appropriate.
6. Your Content and the Public Library
- You may generate and save stories, characters, favourites, and ratings within your account.
- A parent's cloned voice is never made public. Stories published to the public library always use standard narrators, even if you listened to that story in your own cloned voice.
- Stories submitted for the public library are subject to admin review and approval before publication, and may be unpublished or removed at our discretion.
- You can report any story or content from within the app. We review reports and may remove content that violates these Terms.
7. Intellectual Property
AidIgnite owns the LullaBook app, its software, branding, design, artwork, standard narrator voices, and platform, together with all associated intellectual-property rights.
Stories and illustrations generated in the app. As between you and AidIgnite, all rights in the story text and illustrations generated through the app belong to AidIgnite. Copyright law in Malaysia and in most other countries has not yet settled whether material generated by artificial intelligence attracts copyright at all; where no such rights arise, we do not claim any.
What your family may do with your stories. We grant you a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use the stories generated in your account for your family's personal, non-commercial use. That includes reading them aloud, saving them, printing them, and sharing them privately with family and friends. It does not include selling them, publishing them commercially, using them to train an AI model, or presenting them as your own original work for commercial gain. This licence continues even if you later close your account.
What you provide. You keep whatever rights you have in what you put into the app — your child's first name, your story ideas and prompts, and your voice. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to use them only to operate the app and provide the features you have asked for, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not use your voice, your prompts, or your family's stories to train AI models, and we do not permit our providers to do so.
The public library. If you choose to submit a story to the public library, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to host, display, adapt and distribute that story within LullaBook. If you later close your account, we may keep that story in the library with all connection to your account permanently severed, or remove it, at our discretion. Cloned voices are never published.
8. Prohibited Conduct; Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, use the app unlawfully, or attempt to manipulate the app or its economy. If we do, any Story Sparks remaining in your account are forfeited, whether they were given free or purchased, and we will not refund them — except where the law requires us to, or where the suspension or termination was our mistake.
You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time from within the app, or by following the instructions at lullabook.io/delete-account. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 5, 7, 9 and 10 — survive.
9. Your Statutory Rights, Disclaimers, Liability and Indemnity
Your statutory rights come first
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that the law gives you and does not allow us to exclude. For consumers in Malaysia this includes the guarantees implied by the Consumer Protection Act 1999 — in particular that a service will be carried out with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time, and will be reasonably fit for any purpose you told us about. The Consumer Protection Act 1999 has effect despite anything to the contrary in these Terms, and we do not attempt to contract out of it. If you are a consumer outside Malaysia, the same applies to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country you live in. Everything else in this Section applies only so far as the law allows.
What we do and do not promise
We work hard to keep LullaBook available and accurate. Subject to the paragraph above, we do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI-generated stories, illustrations or narration will be free of mistakes. Stories are for family entertainment and moral education. They are not religious rulings and are not professional advice of any kind.
Limit on our liability
Subject to “Your statutory rights come first” above, and so far as the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims connected with the app is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) RM 500. We are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for loss of profit or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
If you cause a claim against us
If a third party brings a claim against us because you broke these Terms or misused the app, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and legal costs arising from that claim, so far as the law allows. This does not apply to anything caused by us, and it does not apply to the extent the claim arises from our own act, omission or breach.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. You and AidIgnite submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. Nothing in this Section prevents a consumer from bringing a claim before the Malaysian Tribunal for Consumer Claims, or from relying on the mandatory consumer-protection rules of their country of residence and bringing a claim in the courts of that country where the law gives them that right.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at support@aidignite.io. Most concerns can be resolved quickly and directly.
11. App-Store Terms
Apple App Store. If you obtained LullaBook from the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and AidIgnite only, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app. AidIgnite — not Apple — is solely responsible for the app and its content, for any product warranties to the extent not disclaimed, for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app (including product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer-protection claims), and for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual-property rights. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo and are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Google Play. If you obtained LullaBook from Google Play, you also agree to the Google Play Terms of Service. These Terms are between you and AidIgnite, not Google; Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app or for providing support for it.
12. Changes to These Terms; Contact
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will notify you in the app and by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the app after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept a change, you may stop using the app and close your account. Questions about these Terms: support@aidignite.io.
